A program run by Services Australia called Centrelink Family Tax Benefit 2024 provides financial support to families with dependent children when they don’t have enough money to care for them.
The Family Tax Benefit is a government program designed to provide financial assistance to families with dependent children. The program is available to both parents or to the single parent in certain situations. Families are eligible for a tax benefit consisting of two components, Part A and Part B, if certain requirements are satisfied and they have children.
Centrelink Family Tax Benefit 2024 Eligibility
The requirements listed below must be fulfilled in order to be qualified for the payment of the Australia Family tax benefit.
- You must take care of the child and live in Australia permanently.
- The parent must be the child’s primary caregiver and the child must be dependent on them for at least 35% of the day.
- The child’s age cannot exceed 19 years old, and they are not eligible for Youth Allowance.
- The Part A and Part B supplements have different eligibility requirements for the Centrelink Family Tax Benefit in 2024.
Centrelink Family Tax Benefit Amount 2024
The Australia Family Tax Benefit is divided into two sections, and each supplement will give residents a separate Centerlink FTB Payment Amount in 2024.
Family Tax Benefit Part A
- A child under 12 will receive $213.36.
- A child between the ages of 13 and 15 will get $277.48.
- A child who meets the eligibility conditions and is between the ages of 16 and 19 will get $277.48.
- A child under the age of 19 receiving care from a recognized agency will get $68.46.
Family Tax Benefit Part B
- The sum will be $181.44 if the youngest child is younger than five years old.
- The benefit will be $126.56 if the youngest child is between the ages of five and eighteen.
What the maximum tax rate is?
The age of the child for whom you are purchasing FTB Part A determines the maximum rate.
- The highest rate per two weeks for every youngster is: $213.36 for a youngster aged
- 0 to 12 $277.48 for a 13–15-year-old
- $277.48 for a minor (16–19 years old) who satisfies the prerequisites for the study
- $68.46 for a child in an authorized care facility aged 0 to 19.
