WHO ARE THE TOPPERS?
Ved Lahoti of the Delhi zone placed first in the JEE (Advanced) results, which were released on Sunday. Dwija D. Patel of the Bombay zone got the highest female performer with an all-India rating of 7.
Dwija received 332 and Ved 355 out of a possible 360. Four of the top ten are from Madras, three are from Bombay, two are from the Delhi zone, and one is from Roorkee. Candidates from the Hyderabad zone could not place in the top 10, in contrast to the previous year when six of the top ten scorers were from this zone.
Forty-eight thousand two hundred forty-eight students—including 7,964 female candidates—of the 1,80,200 candidates who took the Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced) in all of its examinations have passed.
Thirteen,835 out of the 29,639 applicants who were scheduled caste members showed up for the test and passed. Of the 13,935 applicants who submitted papers from the scheduled tribes, only 5,087 were deemed competent. In addition, according to the findings released by IIT-Madras, just seven of the 158 international applicants who took the test qualified for this year’s organizing chair.
Other top scorers included Delhi zone’s Aditya, who obtained an AIR 2 and scored 346 points. Rhythm Kedia (337 marks) from Roorkee at AIR 4, Putti Kushal Kumar (334 marks) from Madras at rank 5, and Bhogal Palli Sandesh (338 marks) from the Madras zone took first place.
Rajdeep Mishra (333 marks) and Dwija (332 marks), both from the Bombay zone, took sixth and seventh place, respectively. Koduru Tejeswar (331 marks) from Madras came in eighth, Dhruvin H. Doshi (329 marks) from Bombay took ninth place, and Alladaboina SSDB Sidhvik Suhas (329 marks) from Madras had an AIR of 10.
Dwija, a candidate from Rajkot, Gujarat, is the only woman among the top 10. In addition, she was the only female to receive a 99.99 percentile in the JEE (Main) exam. When the Main results were out in February, she intended to choose computer science engineering at IIT-Bombay.
Although we anticipated she would place in the top 50, it surprised us that she did so at number 7. We are ecstatic about her outcome. The rest of us have always been drawn to science, but she will be the first engineer in the family. Dwija’s mother, Kiran Patel, spoke with News18 over the phone and stated, “She wants to get admitted to IIT-Bombay to study computer science; mathematics has always been her favorite subject.”
The most excellent aggregate, determined by adding the marks earned in chemistry, physics, and mathematics, is the criterion for inclusion in the rank list. To be listed in a rank order, candidates must meet the aggregate qualifying marks and the subject-specific requirements.
Admissions to the 23 IITs around India will begin on June 10th through the Joint Seat Allocation (JoSSA) method. This is predicated on the JEE (Advanced) results. This examination is offered annually by seven different IITs.
For admission to IITs, NITs, IIITs, and other government-funded engineering institutes in India, there is a joint counseling session known as the JoSAA. While JEE (Advanced) scores are the only factor considered for admission to IITs, JEE (Main) rank is the criterion for admission to NITs, IIITs, and other government-funded institutes. A candidate may complete all of the institute selections if they meet the requirements for both Main and Advanced. Their admission will be granted based on the course or discipline for which their rank is acceptable.
