WELCOME TO AMBT 2023
After the recent success of SMST-2022 in IIT Bombay, AMBT-2021 in Varanasi (online mode), SMST-2020 in Goa, and ICFNM 2019, the Society for Interdisciplinary Research in Materials and Biology (SIRMB) is proud to present its 5th International Conference on Advanced Materials for Better Tomorrow-II (AMBT) 2023 in Banaras Hindu University. The Department of Physics, Banaras Hindu University will be hosting the participants of AMBT 2023. The central theme of this conference is ‘Fundamentals and applications of materials in the areas of healthcare, energy, environment, and other emerging technologies’.This conference will provide the perfect forum for scientists from academia, national laboratories and industry to come together, share ideas, discuss problems and form active collaborations.
We welcome you to join us at AMBT 2023!

About Department of Physics, BHU
As one of the earliest departments in the Institute of Science (ISc-BHU), The Department of Physics has a glorious history of nine decades. The Department is recognized for many significant contributions to our understanding of experimental as well as theoretical physics. The academic activities of the Physics Department commenced with a set of two lectures by Sir C.V. Raman (Asia’s first Nobel Laureate in Science) on February 7 and 8, 1916.
From Nano Physics to Space Physics, this department has contributed to a wide variety of fields. The Department of Physics is the nodal Department for the Centre of Hydrogen Energy, Nanoscience & Technology unit and has entered into two International projects namely PHENIX at BNL (USA) and CBM at GSI (Germany) for the detection of Quark Gluon Plasma (QGP) and an Indian Collaboration INO for the detection of neutrinos.
About SIRMB
Society For Interdisciplinary Research In Materials And Biology (SIRMB) was founded in 2017 as a non-profit organization to provide a common platform for fostering collaboration and easy sharing of knowledge base among researchers working in various areas of science and engineering that can impact materials of the future. The Society aims to bring members from varied disciplines such as physics, biology, synthetic chemistry, materials science, biophysics, theoretical chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, medicine and allied disciplines with a common goal of developing materials that can impact energy, healthcare, environment, defence and the society together to build interdisciplinary expertise.
To promote interdisciplinary research, it has organized annual conferences. It has organized four successful international conferences, ICFNM-2019 at IIT (BHU) Varanasi, SMST-I in 2020 in Goa, AMBT-2021 at IIT (BHU) Varanasi (online mode) and SMST-II in 2022 at IIT Bombay.
